hello there.  i've had a 2065 ethernet card that has worked fine for quite
some time.  but it started acting up recently, and is now basically dead.
i've replaced the cable and the transciever, so im positive it's the ethernet
card at fault.  after the machine has been on for some time (the time gets
shorter each time.. it's down to about a minute now.) the card stops
functioning.  under amiga-os, it simply appears to stop working.
under netbsd, im given a bit more information.. first a stream of
"crc missmatch" messages are sent to console followed by the ominous
"le0: no carrier"  at this point, nothing makes it work again, aside
from turning it off and letting it sit for a long time.

i've already replaced the lance chip (AM7990) and the AM7992.. but to no
avail.  the problem is still there.

my question is does anyone have experience with this particular piece of
hardware and know what other components on the card are likely candidates
to have gone?

the card _does_ work for the period of time between when it
is first turned on and it breaks.  so i imagine it is some component crapping
after a while.

thank you for your help.  these things are getting hard to find and are
ridiculously priced anyway, so i would love to be able to fix the thing.
